Flags to be flown at half-mast tomorrow for funeral of former Chief Justice

The Government has granted approval for an official funeral to be afforded to the late Justice Cecil Arthur Kelsick, T.C., former Chief Justice of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, a statement by the Ministry of National Security says.

The statement says that according to National Flag Protocol, the flag should be flown at half-mast on the day of the death and funeral of listed position holders, as well as other notable citizens and residents of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, as may be announced by the Minister of National Security.

T&T flags to be flown at half-mast today to mourn Fidel Castro's passing

The Ministry of National Security is asking that flags be flown at half-mast today to recognise the passing of Cuban president Fidel Castro.

The Ministry sent out the following statement in this regard.

"The Ministry of National Security is advising all state and non-state agencies and all Trinidad and Tobago diplomatic missions abroad that the National Flag of Trinidad and Tobago is to be flown at half-mast on Friday 2nd December, 2016 only in observance of the passing of former President of the Republic of Cuba, Mr. Fidel Castro.
