Opposition Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar says the Prime Minister is calling on the prime minister to take action with regard to the Petrotrin fake oil controversy.
The Opposition Leader said in a statement today that the matter is serious enough to warrant the attention of the DPP, Commissioner of Police and Integrity Commission.

Opposition Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar is accusing Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley of "running away" from the country while she says it is in crisis.
The PNM was elected into office on this day two years ago.
Dr Rowley is out of the country today, having left on Friday for California on a medical trip.
The Opposition Leader issued the following statement on Thursday.
"Two years ago, Dr Rowley convinced Trinidad and Tobago that he could lead our country.
I warned the country that he had no plan and no ideas.
Opposition Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar is welcoming today's ruling in the Appeal Court on property tax.
Persad-Bissessar says the ruling is consistent with what the Opposition has been saying all along.

"We welcome the Orders made by the Court of Appeal directing the Commissioner of Valuations to clarify that the demand by the Government for citizens to submit the Valuation Return Form (“VRF”) and supporting documents is purely voluntary.

Opposition Leader, Kamla Persad-Bissessar says the late Chairman Emeritus of the ANSA McAL Group of Companies, Dr Anthony Sabga, will be remembered for his generous spirit.
Persad-Bissessar issued a statement saying she was saddened by Dr Sabga's passing.
