Arima Velodrome gets new lights after 30 years of lobbying

After more than 30 years of lobbying by City officials, the Arima Velodrome has new lights.

Mayor Lisa Morris-Julian and members of the Arima Borough Council toured the Velodrome with officials and workers of the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC), to inspect the 96 lights at the Velodrome which replaced the old ones.

The project is said to have cost $2 million and took approximately 3 weeks to complete.

The 230 V lights contain 1500 Watt bulbs which are ideal for lighting savannahs.
