'Missing' woman admits to lying: "I was having a time"

Heather Barriteau, the woman at the centre of a fake abduction has confessed that she lied.

"I was not abducted, I went on my free will and had a time for the weekend and that is it," she said in an interview from her husband's cellular phone.

Asked to comment on his wife's admission, Devon Paul, said he did not want to comment.

"That went way out of proportion," he said.

"The last time I tried to clarify what went on, everybody turn around my words, so I am not saying anything."

14-year-old girl missing

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service is seeking the urgent assistance from members of the public in locating a 14-year-old schoolgirl, who was last seen at her home at around 6:00am on Saturday 10th December, 2016.

Destiny Jackson of Charford Court, Port-of-Spain, was reported missing to the Besson Street Police Station by her grandmother, Roberta Jack, on Monday 12th December, 2016.

She is a pupil of Morvant Laventille Secondary School. 

Destiny has long black hair, is 5 feet tall and is of mixed descent. She was last seen wearing a grey dress.

Missing 35-year-old woman found alive at San Fernando General Hospital

Relatives of missing vendor Heather Barriteau are breathing a sigh of relief after she was found alive at the San Fernando General Hospital.

Barriteau,35, of La Brea went missing on Friday after she was seen liming with a man at a bar at Mucurapo Street, San Fernando.

Her husband Devon Paul said that after Barriteau left the bar, she boarded a car along Mucurapo Street to meet a friend. 

However, he said he believes that the driver abducted Barriteau, and that she was being held at a house in Marabella against her will before she was released.

15-year-old girl reported missing

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service is seeking the urgent assistance of the public in locating a 15-year-old girl who has gone missing from the St. Jude’s Home for Girls.

Cheniece Stephenson was among three others girls who were reported missing from the home by the supervisor, Ann-Marie Arneaud-Thomas, to the Belmont Police Station on Friday 9th December, 2016.

Ms Arneaud-Thomas told police that the girls were ‘observed missing’ at around 8:20am on the said date.

Family seeks help in finding missing 20-year-old woman

The family of a 20-year-old woman is asking for the public's help in locating her after she failed to arrive home last evening.

Family members say Shannon Banfield was last seen leaving her workpace, Republic Bank on Independece Square, aroud 4 pm on Monday.

Banfield later spoke to her mother, Sherryann Lopez, telling her that she was on her way to her home in Cantaro, Santa Cruz.

However, Lopez said she received a strange call later in the night and could have only identified people speaking in a Jamaican accent in the background.

Family appeals for help in finding missing Express employee

Family and friends of a 23-year-old Express employee, Kezia Alexis have sent out an appeal for anyone who can assist in locating her after she failed to make it home last night.

Fomer TV6 news anchor Colleen Holder forwarded a short email to the media this morning with the appeal.

14-year-old Trini girl goes missing in New Jersey

Police are looking for a 14-year-old Trinidad and Tobago girl who has been reported missing in New Jersey after she left her home Sunday night.

Sikose Joseph was visiting family in Glassboro when she left the home where she was staying late Sunday.

Glassboro police said Wednesday that security camera footage showed Sikose walking north on Main Street, across from Angelo's Diner, on Sunday at 11 p.m.  

They say she appeared to be wearing dark pants, a light-colored shirt and is carrying a large black backpack and large pink bag.

FOUND! Police find missing 14-year-old girl at Chaguanas mall

A 14-year-old girl whose father was murdered days after she went missing has been found by police at a mall in Chaguanas.

Police say the girl was in the company of a 25-year-old man.

The girl's mother, Rehana Singh, had made an emotional plea for the girl to return home, after father Vishnu Persad was shot dead at the family’s home at Mahabalsingh Trace, Navet Village, Rio Claro, on Saturday. 

She had gone missing after leaving home to go to school last Wednesday. 

Missing 15-year-old schoolgirl found

Fifteen-year-old schoolgirl Christene Alexander of Southern Gardens, Warden Road, Point Fortin, who was reported missing by her mother on Tuesday 23rd August, 2016, has been found, a statement by the Police Service said.

The statement said Christene was returned to her family around 11:30pm Monday 29th August, 2016.

It added that members of the Child Protection Unit are continuing enquiries.

The statement says police are thanking the public for assistance in ensuring the teenager’s safe return.

61-year-old San Juan man reported missing

A 61-year-old man has been reported missing.

Relatives of Ramesh Bachan made the report to the San Juan Police Station on Sunday.

The report states that Bachan was last seen on Friday, August 12th at 5:30 pm in San Juan.

Bachan, who is from Silver Mill Street, San Juan, is said to be five feet 10 inches tall and weighs 120 pounds.

He is bald.
