Just less than one month after he was allegedly involved in a shooting in Malick, Nicholas ‘Chico’ Jobe, 35, was gunned down on Thursday morning in San Juan along with another man.
Jobe lived at Sixth Avenue, Malick and the other victim, Akil Alexander, 24, was from Upper Seventh Avenue Malick.
According to a police report, at about 12.05 am police officers who were on mobile patrol in the area responded to an area at Second Street where they found both men lying on the ground metres apart from each other.
Police said they were both shot multiple times.
A 21-year-old man has been charged with the 2017 murder of Stephen Smith.
Isaac Williams of Cunupia was charged following advice received from Acting Director of Public Prosecutions, Joan Honore-Paul.
On Sunday 19th November, 2017, Smith got into an altercation with Williams at a house along Upper St. Barb’s Road, Laventille.
Smith, then left the house and upon his return was shot multiple times about the body.
Officers on mobile patrol in the area responded to the sound of gunshots and found Smith lying in the street.
A security officer was found murdered aboard a cargo ship in the Gulf of Paria just off the port of Port-of-Spain on Wednesday.
Jeron Ferdinand of Vine Yard Road, Carenage, was found bound and gagged with a single gunshot to the head.
According to a police report, Ferdinand's body was found at about 10.25 am by crew members aboard the cargo vessel Shouter B, which was anchored off the port.
Ferdinand was the brother of the owner of Empire Bodyguard and Security.
He was assigned to the vessel after a robbery took place there last month.
A 75-year-old medical doctor and former director on the medical board was shot dead outside his Wallerfield home early this morning.
The doctor has been identified as Vin Sein Chiang.
Investigators say that Chiang was leaving to go to his medical office when he was accosted by two men at Lovers Lane.
A struggle ensued and he was later shot.
His attackers then ran off.
Police have no motive for his killing at this time.
Relatives believe that Gemma Khan was followed to her home at Mucurapo Road in St James by robbers and killed before they ransacked her home and left with a television set and her vehicle some time over the weekend.
An autopsy was conducted at the Forensic Science Centre in St James yesterday.
It confirmed that she died from blunt force trauma.
She was badly beaten in the face.
A pensioner, 74, was found murdered at her home at Mucurapo Road in St James on Monday.
Police believe that Gemma Khan was beaten to death during a robbery as it was discovered that her vehicle and a television set were missing.
According to a police report, at about 10 am relatives went to her home to check on her when they found her bloodied and a pillowcase placed over the head.
Junior Thompson, a 28-year old Jamaican man, is the second person to be charged in connection with the murder and the unlawful removal of the body of Kurt Edwards.
Thompson aka ‘Junior Mohammed’ was charged following advice received from Director of Public Prosecutions, Roger Gaspard, SC, on May 18th. Twenty-six-year-old Desta Thompson of Curepe and wife of the accused was previously charged on May 15th, with unlawfully disposing of Edwards’ body.
Adrian Williams aka 'Salty" is expected to appear before a Couva Magistrate today, charged with the murder of Jeremy Darion Stephen, which occurred on January 4th 2018.
Willaims, 29, of Dalloo Road, Gasparillo, was charged with murder, following advice received from Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions, Joan Honore-Paul, on May 16th.
According to police reports, Mr. Stephen, 23, aka ‘Darko’, a scrap iron dealer, was at his Carolina Village, Couva home on January 4th 2018, when three men, one armed with a gun, entered and shot at him before escaping in a waiting vehicle.
One man is dead and another injured following a shooting incident in Maloney.
The shooting occurred just around 10 am Wednesday behind Building 16.
Two men were shot. One died at the scene and the other was taken to hospital.
The slain man has been identified on as 'Tobe'.

A man who attempted to take his life after his wife was chopped to death has been charged with murder.
The charges were laid against 53-year-old Don Sooknanan on Friday.
According to police, Bassie Sooknanan and her husband got into an argument on April 26th.
It is reported that the husband attacked and chopped his wife.
She died at the scene, while her attacker, who made a failed suicide attempt, was hospitalized.
Upon discharge, Sooknanan was immediately arrested by officers and charged.
