The use of body cameras for police officers started with two police units at 20 stations across T&T and this will be expanded to 180 body cameras being implemented on a phased basis by month-end.
National Security Minister Stuart Young revealed this in the Senate on Tuesday while replying to a query from UNC senator Wade Mark.
Young said it was not true that the initiative had not been implemented since officers are being trained in the use of the technology.
