Long lines to exchange $100 notes in Tobago

Schoolgirl dies one day after crash

A 16-year-old school­girl who was in­volved in an ac­ci­dent in Debe on Thurs­day which claimed the life of Prakash Roop­nar­ine has al­so died. Resh­ma Ram­bar­ran, a stu­dent of AS­JA Girls Col­lege in Bar­rack­pore, died this morn­ing at the San Fer­nan­do Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal.

Ac­cord­ing to a po­lice re­port, at around 3.45 pm on Thurs­day, Ram­bar­ran was a pas­sen­ger in a black Nis­san Almera dri­ven by Roop­nar­ine along the M2Ring Road. Near the NGC fa­cil­i­ty the car­col­lid­ed with a truck.

Driver charged after siblings knocked down on PBR

A nine-year-old girl and her broth­er, eight, es­caped death on Wednes­day when they were knocked down by an unau­tho­rised user of the Pri­or­i­ty Bus Route. The chil­dren were cross­ing the fa­cil­i­ty.
