Trinidad and Tobago's Akeem Stewart has won gold and set a new world record in the F44 category of Javelin at the Paralympics in Rio.
Stewart threw 57.23 metres in his first throw in the final to break the record of 54.77 metres which he held since October 2015.
He broke the record again with his final throw of 57.32 metres which confirmed him as the gold medal winner.
Trinidad and Tobago Paralympics swimmer Shanntol Ince finished third in Heat 1 of the Women's 400 metres freestyle in Rio today.
21-year-old Shanntol's time of 5.31.06 was not enough to send her through to the final, as only the top eight of all heats qualify.
Ince finished behind Ashleigh McConnell of the USA who posted a time of 5.16.28 and Yuki Morishita of Japan whose time was 5.28.86.
