A 40-year-old teacher of the Guayaguayare Secondary School has been arrested after speeding away from police when stopped at a roadblock Thursday morning.
Police say the man became extremely nervous when he spotted police stationed at the Ecclesville junction, Rio Claro.
The teacher turned around his B14 car and sped off, leading police into a high-speed chase.
The teacher attempted to elude police by using a back road but police say that after 10 mins he was intercepted by the Rio Claro police.
A 16-year-old Princes Town girl who was reported missing on March 12th, has been found.
A statement from the Police Service has confirmed that the Israel Yearwood of Scale Road, Cedar Hill Village, Princes Town, returned home on March 19th.
The girl explained to her parent that she was with a female friend.
Police say the Child Protection Unit is continuing inquiries into the matter.
The police are thanking the public for their assistance in ensuring that the teen returned home safely.
One day before International Women's Day, a 21-year-old woman has taken to Facebook claiming she was beaten and chopped by neighbours in Freeport on Sunday.
The woman posted several pictures of marks about her body.
The woman who goes by the name Samantha Omelia, posted several pictures on Facebook with the comment, "Brutally beaten n chopped by my neighbor with a machete and a iron pipe, Freeport police station ignored my report,we live in an unfair world."
Calls to the Freeport Police Station did not yield much.
A male student who appears in a viral video in a confrontation with three police officers, has appeared before a Couva Magistrate on five charges arising from the incident.
The 17-year-old student of the Carapichaima East Secondary School has been charged with the use of obscene language, resisting arrest and three counts of assault on police officers.
Police say they responded to a report of a fight at St Mary's Junction Monday afternoon and when they arrived the student was allegedly using obscene language in their presence.
A video of a boy in school uniform wrestling with three police officers on Independence Square in Port-of-Spain, has gone viral.
The video was shot outside the KFC branch at St Mary's Junction in Couva and was uploaded to Facebook by Kashane Goss on Monday afternoon, with the caption "Police arresting a minor in Trinidad were they too rough or their actions justified ? You be the judge ."
Two school-girls have been reported missing, one of them only 12-years-old.
Police say the girls are from Fyzabad and La Brea.

"Trinidad and Tobago Police Service is seeking the urgent assistance of the public in locating two girls who were reported missing in separate incidents.
Missing are Shainna Ali, age 16, of New City, Fyzabad and Marlena James, age 12, of Industry Road, La Brea.
The police have made several arrests for possession of arms and ammunition and illegal drugs.
It came during a series of police exercises in Port-of-Spain, Arima, Sangre Grande and Arouca.
