Police have arrested two men following a shoot-out last evening.
According to reports, while on patrol, officers were alerted to a robbery along East Grove, Valsayn.
On seeing the officers, the suspects sped off and a chase ensued through Curepe unto the Southern Main Road.
There was an exchange of gunfire between the bandits and the police before the assailant's vehicles crashed into a wall.
Two men were apprehended and a firearm was recovered.
A third man escaped by foot.

A 19-year-old suspect remains in police custody after being caught with a firearm and a quantity of ammunition during an anti-crime exercise in the Laventille area on Thursday.
According to official police reports, officers of the Port of Spain Task Force were on patrol on Laventille Road, when they had cause to stop and search a male suspect.
The search revealed the suspect had one nine millimetre Browning pistol containing nine rounds of ammunition, tucked in his waist.
The T&T Police Service is reporting the discovery of a quantity of arms and ammunition during a Strike Back Operation in the Diego Martin district on Thursday.
According to police reports, the arms and ammunition were found in a bushy area in the Patna Village.

Police are investigating murders reported in Blanchisseuse and La Horquetta on Wednesday afternoon.
In the latter report at about 3pm, Joel Gibson was killed after being shot on Paradise Street, La Horquetta.
Police said Gibson was walking along the roadway in the company of a woman he knew, when they were approached by a gunman.
The man shot Gibson at point-blank range, before fleeing on foot.
The woman, police said, was not harmed in the incident.
Gibson, of Heliconia Crescent, died at the scene of the shooting.
Three men currently are in police custody following a robbery in the San Juan area, in the wee hours of this morning.
CNC3 News understands that one of the men in police custody has connections to a special reserve police officer.
