Members of the prison officers association will be meeting with attorney general Faris Al-Rawi this morning to further discuss security arrangements for members of the protective services.
This is the second meeting the association will be having with members of the government to discuss security arrangements.
The president of the Prisons Association, Ceron Richards, has been suspended from the Prisons Service pending an investigation.
Richards was handed his letter of suspension earlier today in Port-of-Spain and was informed that the disciplinary action was taken as a result of a robbery earlier this year during which his firearm was is said to have been stolen.
Richards says the action taken by the Prisons Commissioner, appears to him as a case of victimization.
He says he will be speaking to his attorneys about his legal options.
