One dead after PTSC bus plunges over precipice in Tobago

One person is dead and eight others injured after a PTSC bus plunged over a precipice in L'anse Fourmi, Tobago.

CNC3 News understands that the accident took place around 6:15 this morning.

The victim who has not been identified is said to be 50 years old.

Fire officers and residents rushed to the scene and attempted to rescue trapped passengers.

PTSC workers protest

Workers with the Public Transportation Service Corporation stormed the launch of the Wifi services on PTSC buses this morning which was held at the PTSC compound at South Quay.

The workers said their action was intended at highlighting frustrations with delays in getting monies owed to them.

They are owed money for the 2011-2013 period.

Minister of Works and Transport, Fitzgerald Hinds was present and assured the workers that their concerns would be looked into.
