Morvant teen missing

The TTPS is seeking the urgent assistance of the public in locating 15-year-old Kelliann Felix.

Kelliann, of Chinapoo, Morvant, was last seen leaving her home around 4:00 pm on July 27th.

She was reported missing to the Morvant Police Station, around 8:00 pm, on the same date, by a relative.

Kelliann is of mixed descent, 5 feet 8 inches tall and slim built with a brown complexion and shoulder-length black hair.

T&T Spirit to undergo maintenance

The T&T Spirit will be taken out of service from the 1st of August to undergo maintenance.

The Trinidad & Tobago inter-island transportation company says this is necessary to ensure optimum performance of the vessel.  

The Jean De La Valette and the Galleons Passage will continue to service the sea bridge while the vessel is in dry dock

Two teenagers missing from St Mary's Children's Home

Police are seeking the urgent assistance of the public in locating two 15-year-olds, Gabrielle Samaroo and Anthony Rogers.

The both teenagers were last seen at the dormitory of the St Mary’s Children’s Home, Tacarigua, around 1 pm on Sunday. 

They were reported missing to the Arouca Police Station around 3:15 pm on Monday 22nd July 2019, by an employee at the home. 

Samaroo is of mixed descent, 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a brown complexion and an afro hairstyle. 

She also has a scar on her forehead, over her right eye. 

Expect delays with Beetham roadworks

The Works and Trans­port Min­istry is ad­vis­ing of tem­po­rary traf­fic dis­rup­tions this week­end along the Beetham high­way, as they car­ry out re­pair works on the east­bound lane, just af­ter the light­house.

The min­istry says the dis­rup­tions will be­gin Fri­day evening at 7 pm and should end at 7 pm on Sun­day Ju­ly 21st.

Expect delays with Beetham roadworks

The Works and Transport Ministry is advising of temporary traffic disruptions this weekend along the Beetham highway, as they carry out repair works on the eastbound lane, just after the lighthouse.

The ministry says the disruptions will begin Friday evening at 7 pm and should end at 7 pm on Sunday July 21st.

Motorists are advised that the westbound lane of the highway will be a dual carriageway, with two lanes heading west, and one lane heading east, between the light house and Abbatoir Road.

Water disruption in parts of East Trinidad on Friday

The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) is advising customers served by the Arouca Highlift Station that there will be an interruption in their pipe borne water supply on Friday, between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm.

WASA says this has become necessary in order to facilitate a pipeline interconnection works at the plant.

The affected areas will include districts along the Eastern Main Road, east of the Arima Old Road including:

La Florissante Phases 1 & 2

Riverwoods

Cleaver Heights

Bregon Park

14-year-old girl missing

Police are seeking the urgent assistance of the public in locating 14-year-old Celine Mohammed.

Mohammed, of Tabaquite Road, Rio Claro, was last seen leaving her home around 9 am on Wednesday 17th July 2019.

She was reported missing to the police later that same day.

Mohammed is of East Indian descent, 5 feet 7 inches tall, slim built, with a light brown complexion, and long black hair.

She was last seen wearing a white jacket, a pair of blue and white long pants, brown boots and carrying a grey and green book-bag.

Two Gasparillo teenagers reported missing

Police are seeking the assistance of the public in locating two missing teenagers.

The first is 18-year-old Ryan Baksh who was last seen leaving his Caratal Road, Gasparillo home around 7:30 pm on Wednesday 10th July.

 He was reported missing to police by a relative around 8:40 pm, on Tuesday 16th July 2019. 

Baksh is 6 feet 2 inches tall, slim built with a brown complexion and has short hair and a moustache. 

He was last seen wearing a blue jersey, a pair of three-quarter grey pants and a pair of slippers. 

New vessel scheduled to sail this week

Works and Transport Minister Rohan Sinanan has assured that everything is on schedule for the Jean De La Valette (JDLV) to set sail this week. 

Minister Sinanan is on the record as saying the vessel would be setting sail on “the weekend of July 15”.

In a brief telephone interview with Guardian Media Tuesday, Sinanan assured that the necessary preparations are being made for the sailing to occur but could not give an exact date. 

Traffic disruptions on highway this weekend

The National Infrastructure Development Company (Nidco) and the Ministry of Works and Transport are advising of traffic disruptions and temporary lane closures on the Churchill Roosevelt Highway over the weekend.

According to a notice issued by Nidco and the ministry, the lane closures will be on both west and eastbound lanes of the highway.

They are needed to facilitate road works on the highway as part of the Curepe interchange project.

Road works are expected to begin on Friday on the westbound lanes between 12 pm and 9 pm.
