$250,000 bail for Cunupia man charged with robbery with aggravation

A 22-year-old Cunupia man was granted $250,000 bail, after appearing before a Chaguanas Magistrate today, charged with nine counts of robbery with aggravation.

Justin Heeraman, of Chin Chin Road, Cunupia, stood before Senior Magistrate Jo-Anne Connor and was not called upon to plead, as the charge was laid indictably.

Heeraman, was arrested and charged on Sunday 9th April, 2017, by officers of the Cunupia Police Station, in connection with the robbery of a proprietor and patrons of a bar in Cunupia, on April 4th, 2017, of $38,000 worth in valuables.

Two Tobago men charged with robbery with aggravation, larceny

Two persons have appeared in the Scarborough Magistrates’ Court, charged with robbery with aggravation.

One of the individuals also faces a charge of larceny stemming from a separate incident.

Kurson Deprandine, 30, of Arnos Vale Road, Les Choteau, and Danel Murray, 19, of Top River, Charlotteville, were arrested and charged for robbery with aggravation against 32-year-old Nikeshorn Peters, of Parlatuvier.

Peters was shot at and robbed of his vehicle, a quantity of cash and a cellular phone at Mt. Dillon, on Thursday 16th March, 2017.

23-year-old Tobago man charged with robbery with violence

A 23-year-old man appeared in the Scarborough Magistrates’ Court, on Wednesday 5th April, 2017, charged with robbery with violence.

Okira Holder, 23, of Bacolet, Scarborough, was arrested and charged on Monday 3rd April, 2017, for robbery with violence, against 37-year-old Kirby Clement.

The charge was laid by WPC Marcelle.

Clement was beaten and robbed of his vehicle, a cellular phone and a quantity of cash, by four men, in Mason Hall, on Monday 27th March, 2017. 

The matter was postponed to Wednesday 3rd May, 2017. 

Gunman robs Pizza Hut Gulf View

Police are searching for a lone gunman, wanted for robbing a popular pizzeria in La Romaine last night.

The thief escaped with $11,600 during a hold-up at Pizza Hut, Gulf View.

Police say that around 11.20 p.m. a man wearing dark clothing and a hoodie jacket entered the business place and announced a hold-up.

An employee handed over the day's sales, and the thief ran off with the loot.

Central business robbed $1.2 million cash

A central business place was robbed of an estimated 1.2 million dollars in cash.

CNC3 News understands that around 8 pm on Tuesday a security guard employed at the Rhum runners compound was ambushed by five persons including one female all armed with firearms.

The security guard was tied up and placed to lie on the floor area of a stockroom while the bandits ransacked the billing area and several other areas of the business place.

An estimated $1.2 million dollars was stolen.

Five to appear in court

Five people held in connection with the $5 million robbery of supplies earmarked for the renovation of the five-star Hyatt Regency Hotel in Port-of-Spain are expected to appear in court today.

The suspects were charged last Thursday but did not appear in court the following day as it closed early to allow staff to go home for the Christmas holiday long weekend.

The multi-million dollar robbery reportedly took place two Fridays ago at the central warehouse complex in Charleville, Chaguanas, where the items for the hotel’s renovation and remodeling were stored.
