A 38-year-old Moruga labourer has been arrested by Siparia police in connection with a robbery.
According to police reports, the owners of a bar in Quarry village were conducting business at their establishment when they were approached by two men armed with guns.
The men announced a holdup and dealt both victims several blows to the head before robbing them of a quantity of cash, cigarettes, a cellular phone and the keys for a Nissan Tiida motor vehicle.
The assailants then made their escape in a black Toyota Yaris motor vehicle.
A Talparo man was held in connection with a robbery at a mini-mart last week in the Longdenville area.
He is due to appear before a Chaguanas Magistrate charged with robbery with aggravation, against two victims, malicious damage and possession of ammunition.

A Sea Lots man is now in police custody after being caught in the act of breaking into a cellular phone store in Port of Spain
The 30-year-old was arrested by officers of the Port of Spain Division Task Force, after being discovered in the store located along Frederick Street, Port of Spain, around 9:32 pm on September 3rd.
The owner had secured the premises and activated the store’s alarm system around 6:30 pm on the said date and went away.
He was later notified that the alarm system was triggered.
Four Point Fortin men are due to appear before a Siparia Magistrate tomorrow, jointly charged with larceny of a quantity of equipment from Petrotrin, Santa Flora.
