Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a man suspected of impersonating a police officer in the Caroni district.
Roderick Santana, 30, of Bon Air Gardens, Arouca, was identified via CCTV footage, as one of three men allegedly involved in an incident which took place on Tuesday 19th June, 2018, at a supermarket in Frederick Settlement, Lapaille Village, Caroni.
Police, fire officers and members of the Coast Guard have resumed their search at the pond in Usine Ste Madeleine, following a report that a woman threw a baby into the water.
Around 8 last evening, police received a report that a woman was seen walking towards to the pond with a baby in her hand.
Minutes later, it's said she walked back to the Manahambre Road without the baby, entered a vehicle and left.
Ste Madeleine police responded and divers attached to the Fire Service began combing the bank of the pond.

Coreen Singh was last seen on Saturday, leaving her Arima home.
A close relative confirmed that the white Nissan Tiida motor vehicle Singh left home in was found in Caroni burnt and abandoned.
Singh is about 5 feet tall, slim built and dark brown in complexion.

Hope for finding missing diver Chevonne Bartholemew alive grew dimmer yesterday.
Bartholemew went missing on Monday in a routine dive off Gasparee Island and his wife, Pete-Ann, is now pleading for the search to widen to as far as Grenada and Venezuela.
She said even though her husband’s oxygen tank would have run out of air by now, she said he could be drifting somewhere in the ocean, possibly outside of territorial waters.
She does not believe there is any foul play in his disappearance.
Jamaica's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade has rejected claims that Jamaican immigration, customs or security personnel searched a Trinidadian Minister of Government at the Norman Manley International Airport on Friday, the Jamaica Gleaner reports.
According to the ministry, the search was undertaken by private security officers.
The glimmer of hope the family of Ria Sookdeo felt when investigators arrested a police constable and his sister for the woman’s abduction was dashed yesterday after the suspects were released.
Sookdeo’s father, Frankie Rajkumar, said they felt some relief when police went to Rochard Road, Penal, on Sunday and arrested the suspects and impounded the black Nissan X-Trail SUV believed to be used in Sookdeo’s kidnapping.
After learning of their release, Rajkumar said it felt like they were back to square one.
Several workplaces in Carli Bay, Point Lisas and around other parts of Couva have closed early as a manhunt continues for a man believed to have eluded police with a bag of grenades.
Police have been conducted major searches on land, air and sea since just before midday, after the man ran off when stopped by police, dropping one of the grenades in the process.
