Hondurans shut out T&T 2-0

Trinidad and To­ba­go’s chances of pro­gress­ing out of the group in the Con­ca­caf Na­tions League were dealt a se­vere blow when they were shut out 2-0 by Hon­duras at the Hase­ly Craw­ford Sta­di­um in Port-of-Spain last night.

The vis­i­tors got a sec­ond-half goal from Bryan Ve­lasquez-Moya (52th) and Dou­glas Mar­tinez (90th) as skip­per Kevin Moli­no’s side was con­fined to yet an­oth­er de­feat in what has been a hor­ri­ble run for them so far this year.

I have had some won­der­ful Sat­ur­days but my good­ness, Sat­ur­day, June 24th was def­i­nite­ly a day to for­get.

Panama outplays Soca Warriors 2-0

Two sec­ond-half goals by Ar­man­do Coop­er in the 52nd and Edgar Barce­nas in the 68th minute for Pana­ma, con­fined T&T to its first de­feat 2-0 in Group D of the CON­CA­CAF Gold Cup in the Unit­ed States on Tues­day night.

The re­sult now means that the So­ca War­riors will have to get a re­sult each when they face the host in their sec­ond match on Sat­ur­day, and then four days lat­er when they take on re­gion­al ri­vals Guyana.

T&T to face Thailand in football friendly

The T&T senior men's football team will face Thailand in a friendly football match on October 14th in Bangkok. The match will follow T&T's friendly against the UAE in Spain which takes place five weeks before.

Head coach of the team Dennis Lawrence told TTFA Media, the match will prove to be essential as he prepares his side for next year’s CONCACAF Nations League and Gold Cup campaign.

Soca Warriors to face Grenada on April 29th

Trinidad and Tobago’s Senior Men will travel to St George’s, Grenada to play the Grenada Men’s Senior Team in an International Friendly on April 29th.

The match will be part of the official opening of the Grenada National Football League.

Trinidad and Tobago head coach Dennis Lawrence will use the match as another tune-up for his home-based players as the country looks ahead to the 2018 World Cup qualifier away to the United States on June 8th and Costa Rica on June 13th.
