Hondurans shut out T&T 2-0
Trinidad and Tobago’s chances of progressing out of the group in the Concacaf Nations League were dealt a severe blow when they were shut out 2-0 by Honduras at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port-of-Spain last night.
The visitors got a second-half goal from Bryan Velasquez-Moya (52th) and Douglas Martinez (90th) as skipper Kevin Molino’s side was confined to yet another defeat in what has been a horrible run for them so far this year.
Suffering Windies cricket and T&T football fans
I have had some wonderful Saturdays but my goodness, Saturday, June 24th was definitely a day to forget.
It started well enough, as I went to the beach in the company of my beautiful granddaughter, who made me do anything she wanted; and before that, I had looked at India struggle against Afghanistan.
Then I saw the West Indies grab the early initiative against the Kiwis in a must-win encounter for the Caribbean side.

Two second-half goals by Armando Cooper in the 52nd and Edgar Barcenas in the 68th minute for Panama, confined T&T to its first defeat 2-0 in Group D of the CONCACAF Gold Cup in the United States on Tuesday night.
The result now means that the Soca Warriors will have to get a result each when they face the host in their second match on Saturday, and then four days later when they take on regional rivals Guyana.
