Patrons get all-round show at Socadrome

Pa­trons in the So­cadrome at the Jean Pierre Com­plex in Port-of-Spain were yes­ter­day treat­ed to al­most an en­tire Car­ni­val ex­pe­ri­ence on one stage.

For the first time since its in­cep­tion, the Scoad­rome was part of the route tak­en by rev­ellers as they pa­rad­ed through the na­tion’s cap­i­tal on Car­ni­val Tues­day. First to cross the stage yes­ter­day morn­ing was Harts, fol­lowed by Bliss, Pure, Yu­ma and Tribe, who took the stage head­ing in­to the af­ter­noon.

Five big bands, big artistes listed for Socadrome this year

MX Prime, David Rudder and Calypso Rose are among soca artistes who will perform at the Socadrome at the Jean Pierre Complex on Carnival Tuesday.

The venue will see no fewer than five big bands crossing the stage, including Bliss, Harts, Lost Tribe, Tribe and Yuma.

The list of performers included Calypso Rose, David Rudder, Mx Prime, Lingo, Black Sage and Gypsy.

It will also showcase traditional Carnival characters.

Socadrome spokesperson, Danielle Jones-Hunte promises that the venue will be worth visiting.
