Chairman of the Toco/Sangre Grande Regional Corporation Terry Rondon says he has reaped a pumpkin weighing more than 100 pounds from his garden at Toco.
Rondon brought the pumpkin to share with his local government colleagues during a consultation with Minister of Local Government Kazim Hosein, held at the Penal/Debe Regional Corporation.
In a brief interview, Rondon said he got the seeds and decided to plant them.
Chairman of the Sangre Grande Regional Corporation Terry Rondon is congratulating Municipal Police Officers for a job well done and has thanked them for their hard work.
A statement by the corporation says the officers came out in full force during Carnival celebrations in the region to ensure the safety of the burgesses.
Rondon also expressed thanks to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service for successfully keeping the festival almost incident-free.

Terry Rondon has been re-elected chairman of the Sangre Grande Regional Corporation at today's swearing-in ceremony.
However, his election seems likely to head for the courts after objection from the representatives of the United National Congress.
UNC Senator and attorney-at-law Gerald Ramdeen led a walkout of UNC councillors and aldermen prior to the election taking place.

The UNC has objected to the PNM's proposal of Rondon as chairman.
