Clogged school toilets costing $millions

School sew­ers are be­com­ing clogged be­cause there is no toi­let pa­per avail­able for stu­dents to use.

In des­per­a­tion, many are forced to clean them­selves with pieces of cloth­ing or sheets of pa­per which, when flushed, clogs the sew­er trig­ger­ing fur­ther ex­pense for the Min­istry of Ed­u­ca­tion.

Blankets clog toilets at airport's domestic departure lounge

The Airports Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (AATT) says it is making every effort to restore use of the washroom facilities at the Domestic Departure Lounge at the Piarco International Airport, after problems caused by people discarding blankets, cloths and other insoluble materials into the toilets.

The AATT says the toilets have become clogged and that the associated plumbing systems have malfunctioned.
