Trinidad and Tobago has appeared twice on a list rating foods in the region that are better than the beaches.
In an article posted on Huffingtonpost called "11 Caribbean foods which are better than the beaches",
Doubles and Pholourie were listed as numbers six and nine respectively.
The article noted that "doubles, a curried chickpea, fry bread sandwich is the breakfast of champions. (Or lunch of champions. Or dinner. Or late-night snack.)
It's enjoyed all times of the day in Trinidad and Tobago".
Former Peoples Partnership councillor for St Ann's Cascade Kenrick Preudhomme is counting his losses after his property was fire-bombed on Wednesday morning.
Contacted by CNC3, Preudhomme said that around 12:45 a.m, he was awoken by his daughter informing him that his Mazda BT-50 vehicle was on fire.
The fire department was contacted, however by the time they arrived, the vehicle was destroyed and parts of his house damaged.
Preudhomme's daughter told him that she observed someone fleeing the scene.
