15 year old school boy missing

The police are seeking the assistance of the public in finding a 15-year-old schoolboy who went missing last Sunday.

He was reported missing by his mother, Kindra Commissiong on Monday 1st February 2016.

Curtis Pierre, a form two student at the Tranquility Government Secondary School, who resides in Cascade, was last seen leaving Union Village in Claxton Bay on Sunday 31st January around 2:15 pm where he went to visit his mother.  

Piarco to be site of European Aviation Safety Agency examination centre

The Civil Aviation Authority International (CAAi) has announced that it will open a brand new European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Part-66 aircraft maintenance license (AML) electronic examination center in Piarco, Trinidad. 

A statement says the center will be opened on behalf of the United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

The shortly worded statement says the new electronic exam center will open on April 7, 2016, and will provide candidates in the Caribbean, Central and South America with better access to EASA Part-66 AML examinations.

Giselle Salandy to be inducted into International Women's Boxing Hall of Fame

Late champion female boxer Giselle Salandy, will be inducted into the International Women's Boxing Hall of Fame (IWBHF) in July this year.

Salandy was named among eight female boxers worldwide to be inducted into the IWBHF.

She will be the only one receiving the prestigious honour posthumously.

The announcement of the honored inductees was made on Saturday at the WBC Female Boxing Convention in Tijuana, Mexico.
