T&T perceived as less corrupt on Transparency International's index

Trinidad and Tobago has been perceived as less corrupt in 2015, than it was in 2014 and 2013, according to Transparency International's Corruption Perception Report released today. 

The country has jumped 13 spots up the rankings, from position number 85 in 2014 to position number 72 in 2015.  

T&T was ranked 83 in 2013. 

The ranking is out of a total of 167 countries worldwide.

No vindication for opposition leader says Dr. Keith Rowley

In a media release today, the Prime Minister says the privy council ruling is no vindication for Mrs. Kamla Persad Bissessar and her government.

He says because of the ruling persons charged with criminal offenses will be made to face trial, despite attempts to do otherwise.

Police kill suspected bandit.

A man suspected of robbery has been shot and killed by police officers on Monday evening.
CNC3 understands that a party of officers responded to a report of a robbery with violence in which a white Hyundai Tucson was stolen from Malabar extension home in Arima.
A search was conducted, and the vehicle was spotted along Rattan Street, Kelly Village, Caroni.
As officers approached the vehicle, a man was seen walking towards it officials claim they ordered the man to stop. However, he began to run.
